Togainu no Chi (咎 狗 の 血?) Is a video game visual novel type created by Nitro + chiral. The game was first published in Japan in 2005 on PC and PlayStation 2 in 2008. It was also released on PSP in December 2010.
It was also adapted into a novel, a manga series, two one-shots and an anime series.
In France, only the manga series drawn by Suguro Chayamachi came out, published by Ankama editions in June 20111. Five volumes have appeared to date.
After being devastated during World War III (known as the "Third Division"), Japan is divided into two. Several years after the end of the war, a criminal organization called VISCHIO control the destroyed city of Toshima (formerly Tokyo, the capital city), venue of a fighting game: the Igra.
The Igra is a fighting game set in Toshima where participants can die. To participate, you must meet Arbitro and give his reasons for participating. After that, participants are given five dog tags, each engraved like a map of a classic game. One of the plates must be attached to the neck of the participant as evidence. Participants should then put their lives in jeopardy in order to recover the plates of the other participants, in order to collect a royal flush. When a participant succeeds, he wins the right to challenge it in Re-fight. The fight ends when a participant dies or touches the ground on his back. The winner gets the loser of plates and is free of the destiny of it.
The game's main character is a young man named Akira, falsely accused of murder. After being arrested, a mysterious woman'm visiting him and asked him to make him his freedom if he agrees to participate in Igra and beat the boss: He-Re. The story follows the difficult path of Akira in the disorder and ruthless town Toshima, in order to survive and unravel the mysteries that hover around him.
