X-Men is an American action film of 2000 directed by Bryan Singer. It is based on the comic book superhero team called X-Men, belonging to the publisher Marvel Comics. Among the actors who participated in the film are Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, Halle Berry, Famke Janssen, James Marsden, Rebecca Romijn and Anna Paquin.
The film's success led to others based on Marvel superheroes like Spiderman, Daredevil and Hulk tapes. In addition, X-Men had four sequels, X2 (2003), X-Men: The Last Stand (2006), The Wolverine (2013) and X-Men: Days of the Past future (2014), a derivative also prequel, X- Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), and two other prequels, X-Men: First Class (2011) and X-Men: Apocalypse (2016).
Patrick Stewart as Charles Xavier / Professor X: Founder of the X-Men and Xavier's School for Gifted Youth, Xavier wants peaceful coexistence between mutants and humans and is considered an expert in genetic mutation. Although it is in a wheelchair, it is a powerful mutant with great telepathic abilities. Along with Magneto, he is the inventor of the machine brain, which further amplifies their skills.
Ian McKellen as Erik Lehnsherr / Magneto: A Holocaust survivor, he and Xavier were once allies and built Cerebro together. However, his belief that humans and mutants can never coexist led to their separation. Hugh Jackman as Logan / Wolverine: A rough and lonely man who makes his living in cage fights. He has lived for fifteen years with no memory of who he is. Famke Janssen as Jean Grey: It has a relationship with Cyclops and works as a doctor at the Mansion-X. It has telekinetic and telepathic powers.
James Marsden as Scott Summers / Cyclops: This is the second in command of the X-Men, as well as an instructor at the Institute. He is in love with Jean Grey and has a relationship with her. It emits a powerful red beam from his eyes, which only kept under control with a visor made of ruby quartz.
Halle Berry as Ororo Munroe / Storm: Works as a teacher at the Mansion-X and has the ability to manipulate the weather.
Anna Paquin as Marie D'Ancanto / Rogue: A 17 year old girl forced to leave his family in Mississippi after leaving her boyfriend in a coma to kiss him. When you touch someone, it absorbs their life force, memories and abilities, which could kill that person.
Tyler Mane as Victor Creed / Sabretooth: A fierce and sadistic wrestler, is a henchman for Magneto. It has claws that extend beyond each finger.
Ray Park as Mortimer Toynbee / Sapo: A very agile with a long tongue that produces a sticky substance mutant.
Rebecca Romijn as Darkolme Raven / Mystique: Magneto right hand, has the ability to alter its shape and imitate any human being or object, besides being an agile and expert martial artist.
Bruce Davison as Robert Kelly: An anti-mutant politician who wants a Mutant Registration Act. He is kidnapped by Magneto to test his machine mutation, which causes your body to become a water.
