Published: Saturday 22 April, 2017

Naruto (Japanese ナ ル ト) is a Japanese manga shawl created and drawn by Masashi Kishimoto. The story follows the boy Naruto Uzumaki, who learns at the Ninja Warriors Academy in the Folk Village. Naruto is energetic, shrewd and purposeful. His dream is to become the highest and most powerful ninja in the village - the hokage, which in the ninja world means something like the mayor who is the strongest of the village.

Manga first published in 1999 in the magazine Šúkan žong Jump. Later, individual chapters began to come out in the tankon format. In 2002 an anime adaptation of the manga came into existence, with Pierrot and the director Hajato Date. This anime series has a total of 220 parts and the last part was broadcast in 2007. In the same year, the new Naruto series began: The Sippuden, which follows the series first. It begins about Naruto Costumes  two and a half years after the story described in the Naruto series. Also, this series adapts the manga to the original and dates back to 2017. Several animated films and OVA have also been released, but they are not related to the story in the manga and have not yet been distributed in the Czech Republic and several console games, light novels and collector cards.

Licensing for the issue of manga in the Czech Republic was purchased by the CREW publisher, one volume being published once in approximately two months. CREW has so far published twenty-eight volumes. The Naruto Anime series in the dubbed version broadcast Jetix (today Disney Channel), but only 95 pieces, as Jetix's other pieces seemed to be unsuitable for children. She then took over the rights to the Animax series and AXN Sci-Fi series.
